“With Reclining Farting Woman, I wanted to recreate and subvert the classical fe- male nude which is ubiquitous throughout art history. Her body lays on the border between beautiful and grotesque and by farting, she exists eternally inside one of our few remaining societal taboos: admitting that women’s bodies also are capable of, and do, fart.” — Ana
